History

BPC was founded to address the isolation and lack of representation that many Black PhD students experience in academia. What started as a small idea to connect peers has now quickly grown into a community. Recognising the need for mentorship, networking and advocacy, we are building this collective as a space for Black scholars to find support, share opporunities and make life-long friendships.
